Hi there, I’m Mia! 👋🏾

I'm currently employed as a Digital Product Design Manager at Accenture, where I also serve as the DesignOps sub-practice lead within our studio team, a role created to engage the team in different crafts and specialities. The main goal of this role is to unify designers on projects by reorganizing process, resources and people.

A few things about me

Ok, so why Notion?

Before making the transition from Webflow, I read a few Reddit posts warning designers that some managers will toss out portfolios built in Notion. That was more than enough reason to make the switch, because honestly, I don’t want to work for those people. I want to work with the people that see me for what I am — a designer and a systems thinker.

Fun fact: I love a good spreadsheet.

Sometimes a table is the very best way to show how things are connected. And if you’ve read my Ways of Working, you know I love connecting all of the dots. So I needed a way to demonstrate that I am capable of looking at everything holistically without missing all of the details, and I needed it to be easily digestable. I was already using Notion for everything else (election guides, travel planning, a friends/family database), so it only made sense that I trusted it to handle my portfolio as well.

Before this starts to sound like a Notion ad…

I actually really loved Webflow. We had a great five years together. I just always found myself spending waaaay too much time on the visuals and pixels. The right side of my brain loved it, but Notion helps me show off everything that I can do, including how I organize my thoughts and the moving parts around me. I hope that’s clear in what I’m showcasing here. 🤞🏾
